Firefly Engravings use the power of their laser to bring their imagination, ideas and moulds to life then add some shape, colour, purpose and personality to them with the power of their hands.

The objects they craft are inspired by everything that surrounds them and are made with a lot of care, time and magic cuz' they do believe in magic.

We invite you to let yourself be inspired by the unique Waha vibe. Join the workshop to color with fluorescent paints and create your own pendant engraved with the WAHA logo, which will remind you of the festival's magic every time you wear it. And last but not least, help us become little fireflies that flutter and bring light in the midst of the night.

Modeling elementals with clay

with Andreea Stoian & Alexandru Stoian (Waldorf Education)

Fri16

Welcome to the wonderful Waldorf-inspired clay modeling workshop! Here, children aged five to twelve will have the opportunity to develop their creativity and artistic skills, drawing inspiration from the surrounding natural beauty, especially the enchanted world of forest fairies.

Our workshop is a magical place where children will be taught to work with clay, a soft and malleable material that allows them to let their imagination run wild and create their own works of art. In this workshop, the emphasis is on the creative process, not just the final result. Each child is encouraged to explore and freely express their personal vision of forest fairies.
The workshop begins with a brief introduction to nature and its beauty, as this will be the main source of inspiration for modeling the fairies in clay. Children will be encouraged to observe the details around them: the colors of the flowers, the textures of the leaves, and the shapes of the forest. Together, we will discuss the forest fairies and how they might look in our imaginary world.

Then, the children will receive pieces of soft clay and various modeling tools, such as rollers, knives, and small brushes. Each child will have the opportunity to choose their own project and start modeling. Whether they want to create a dancing fairy in the middle of a flower or a fairy hidden among the tree leaves, they will be encouraged to let their imagination soar and create something unique.
Throughout the workshop, the facilitators will provide guidance and support to the children, encouraging them to experiment with textures, shapes, and colors. Various modeling techniques will also be presented, such as modeling by adding and removing clay. Each child will be able to explore their own artistic style and receive personalized tips to improve their skills.

At the end of the workshop, the children will be proud to display their works of art created with so much passion and creativity. We will organize a small exhibition where each fairy will be presented in a natural setting, similar to a forest, where the children can share with their peers and parents the story behind their creations.

Crafting workshop: the dragon

with Andreea Stefania Stoian, Alexandru Dumitru Stoian, Cristian Iamandi, Miruna Elena Iamandi

Sat17

A crafting workshop dedicated to children, where creativity and imagination will take flight! In this workshop, children will have the opportunity to create an impressive dragon out of cardboard, which they will paint and decorate with their own colorful and imaginative ideas. But the adventure doesn't stop there – the dragon will become the star of a wonderful show, a fantastic journey throughout the entire festival, accompanied by the brave knights who defeated it and the graceful princesses saved by them.

Workshop Structure

Introduction and Storytelling: The workshop will begin with a captivating story about the brave dragon and the adventures of knights and princesses. This will serve as a source of inspiration for the children's creations.

Crafting the Dragon: Children will be guided step-by-step in creating the dragon out of cardboard. They will learn to cut, fold, and assemble the various pieces of the dragon, thereby developing their fine motor skills and learning basic crafting techniques.

Painting and Decorating: Once assembled, the dragon will come to life through the colors and decorations applied by the children. They will be encouraged to use their imagination and experiment with different painting and collage techniques.

Preparing for the Show: After the dragon is completed, the children will be divided into groups of knights and princesses. Each group will receive costumes and rehearse a small script for the roaming performance.

The Show and Journey Through the Festival: Leading with the dragon, the children will walk through the festival's pathways, presenting their story to all attendees. This will be a wonderful opportunity for the children to showcase their work and enjoy the applause and admiration of the audience.
